Loyola head coach Jimmy Patsos offered an explanation for his unconventional -- if not off the wall -- strategy:
“We had to play against an NBA player tonight,” Patsos explained. “Anybody else ever hold him scoreless? I’m a history major. They’re going to remember that we held him scoreless or we lost by 30?”OK. I guess that's one way to look at it. But after Tuesday night's stunt, it's probably fair to say that when the college basketball season concludes, and Athletic Directors look to fill coaching vacancies, Jimmy Patsos' name won't be on many ADs' short lists.
