Damning the Devils

By Mark Buckets

While surfing the internet - and waking up from a long night at the office - I stumbled across an enticing article for all venomous Duke bashers out there.

Since I cannot link on this computer for some reason, I'll refer you to a piece composed by SI.com's Stewart Mandel entitled "Dissecting Duke" on the front page of SI's College Basketball page.

Now, before I go on any further, I must warn all of you mouth-watering anti-Duke militia out there: Stewart Mandel covers College Basketball for a total of 3 months out of the year. When his College Football duties - which he devotes far more time to - are completed, he moves over to College Hoops to stir up the pot and offer uninformed opinions.

In this case, however, he makes some valid points regarding the state of Duke Basketball.

Others, not so much.

If you have any comments or questions regarding our opinions - and yours especially -feel free to post them in the "comments" section of Drive & Dish.

This should generate some juicy reaction.

We aint collecting no check or primpin for them ESPN cams. We be playin defense hustling from coast to coast. We be climbin that mountain. Once we reach the top, we be cutting down them nets. Aint no Duke or any other wacky tobaccy program gonna stop Butler. We be cutting down them nets.

Let me get this straight, you want me to go to the trouble of reading an article about Puke, but you're too lazy to actually provide a link to the article.

Not only do you want me to waste my time by reading about your dookee boys, but you want me to go out of my way to find the freakin' article.

I guess that I shouldn't be surprised. That's the kind of colossal arrogance that you'd expect from a dookie.

It's kind of like making Jesus carry the cross to his own crucifixion.

I just paid $50 for full on sex at a "massage" parlor off the highway in Fayetteville.

It was the first time I've ever had sex.

Some friends told me about the massage parlors. I was apprehensive, but curious.

I went in for a "massage," and was too nervous to actually ask for sex, but then the "masseuse" asked me in broken English if I "wan have sahm fun." She said: "50 dollar, I go all way."

Although I was thrilled and excited by the rush of having my first actual sexual experience, as soon as the deed was done and my little guy went flaccid, I felt dirty and ashamed.

I now am experiencing anguish, regret and extreme guilt.

I feel filthy and broken.

Anyways, go Duke.

You wacky tobaccy programs be distracted from the good word of the lord. Y'all be needing to spend your money at the church and having a 1 on 1 with a priest no pun intended. Sonny boy, you be needing to look beyoung them ESPN christened waxky tobaccy programs and looking at good bible reading church going players from Butler. We be climbin that mountain and doin in right. Not for money, but for love. Love for the game, their mommas, and everything right about the sport.

Butler. 08.

That why WE BE CUTTIN DOWN THEM NETS!

Butler Bob, I am a church going man. I believe in God, family, country and the Heels.

But I also believe that Roy was sent by the Lord to lead the chosen people (the extended UNC family/diaspora) back to the promised land, just as Jesus was sent to lead the Israelites back to the promised land/the Lord's Kingdom.

But the Israelites rejected Jesus.

However, the Heels accepted Roy's leadership with open arms.

And in 2005, Roy led the Heels back to the promised land.
