Miami holds off Duke 96-95

By Mark Buckets

Duke was once again shocked by an unranked conference opponent, this time on the road, dropping a close one to Miami 96-95.

The Devils stormed back from 20 points down in the second half and closed the final margin to one.

Jon Scheyer led Duke with 27 points, while Miami's athletic one-two of Dwayne Collins - who, as we'll document later, taunted the Duke bench all night - and Jack McClinton combined to torch Duke for 48 total points.

This marks Duke's second leauge loss in a row, tightening up the standings at the top of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Oh Good Lord, am I ecstatic!

This has got to be one of the greatest weeks that I can remember.

If Puke keeps losing, I'll be as happy as I was back in 1995.

I'm fixin to hit Franklin St. with some of my buddies. It's time to celebrate ... AGAIN!

Who won the first meeting between these two superpowers earlier this year?

Weren't you passed out, face first, on the Franklin Street pavement?

Quiet down buffoon.

I must admit that the University of New Jersey South's recent losing streak has brought tears of joy to my eyes.

I would expect the man who doesn't coach to win, but rather, who coaches for "relationships," to take a sudden medical leave within the next two or three days.

It's starting to feel like 1995 all over again. Not to worry though, the NCAA will just go ahead and wipe Coach Relationships' losses off his record, as they did in 1995.

But it's wonderful to see the carpet bagging Yankee coach with the unpronounceable Pollock surname get his comeuppance. It's a travesty that such a low class, ethnic, Yankee is permitted to reside in and own land in this great state. And don't forget, "Relationships" is a Catholic too.

The coach who doesn't consider himself a coach, but rather, considers himself a leader of men, seems to be succumbing to the same fate that befell another Yankee West Point man who found himself outwitted by real Southerners: General McClellan.

Just as McClellan was outwitted by General Lee, Coach Relationships is no match for the cunning, guile and overall genius of another great son of the Confederacy: Roy Williams.

Go Heels.
